Thank you, LA Zine Fest 2012

Thanks to LA Zine Fest, and my friends Meredith Wallace, SiMON Sotelo, Rhea, and Bianca, the organizers who put it on. The event itself was an overwhelming success, and drew hundreds of people to THE LAST BOOKSTORE in Downtown Los Angeles this past Sunday, Feb 19th. No More Geeks featured a booth there, and got copies in the hands of fellow zinesters, comic-book writers, parents, and their children. :D We're quite proud of the coloring work that our new friends did in the No More Geeks Coloring book, check it out!
LA Zine Fest 2012

This was our booth at LA Zine Fest 2012. Looking forward to LA Zine Fest 2013, I'd love to volunteer next year in addition to being an exhibitor. <3

Refridgerator Freezer / A Junk Monster

A Junk Monster by No More Geeks The song "A Junk Monster" was arranged and performed by Zaptra, a local Los-Angeles based electronic artist, Art Paz.  He began in 2004 in Los Angeles, CA with drum machine and acoustic guitar, but has since expanded to include a wide array of musical devices and software that characterize the layered and complex sound heard from his last two releases. While Zaptra has been seen performing in New York and San Francisco, he is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and has been known to frequent the Airliner Club, a venue popularized by the weekly recurring Low End Theory event. Zaptra is a currently active artist with plans to both perform while at the same time continue to gather materials for another release. For more info www.zaptra.com. Zaptra will continue to create music until the day the earth and the universe decide to take Zaptra from this very world.
